S'more Season

The leaves are changing color and there is a chill in the air. It's that time of year again when we pull out our comfy sweatshirts and build a camp fire. And nothing goes better with a campfire then S'mores. Toasting marshmallows on a stick and squishing that square of milk chocolate between to squares of graham crackers is a memory we all have that goes deep into our childhoods. Each of us have a personal history with S'mores but do you know the real history behind the S’more?

“The first printed S’mores recipe appeared in 1927 in the Girl Scout handbook called, Tramping and Trailing with the Girl Scouts. Folklore tells us the name “S’mores” came about because everyone who tasted one asked for "some more.’”
